On Rowing

A great Rower masters efficiency and timing.  Little things that you aren’t even aware of can result in inefficient movements which add valuable time to your splits – the slightest changes will make all the difference in getting you across the finish line first.  Adopt patterns in your body that maintain your best posture and position and keep your muscles strong as well as flexible. DON’T
1  Round your back
2  Push from your toes
3  Relax your muscles in the catch
4  Lock out your knees during the release

DO
1  Keep your spine aligned with a straight back
2  Push through your heels to initiate leg thrust
3  Slightly tense muscles are primed to work
4  Use glutes to increase stroke power
